York University is a public university in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that was established in 1959. It is the third largest university in Canada.
The University has approximately 55,000 students, 7,000 staff and faculty, and 260,000 alumni worldwide. It has 11 colleges and 28 research centers. The university participates in the Canadian Space Agency, and the College of Science and College of Engineering operate a major research facility for Mars exploration and are designing many of the space research instruments and applications currently in use by NASA.
